Your Body Is Not a Performance: Feminine Embodiment, Movement & Self-Trust
What would change if you moved your body to feel it instead of to perform it?
Katty Hozavsky, founder of Shemotion, joins me for a juicy conversation on moving to feel rather than to perform, and on reclaiming sensuality as your own. Shemotion is a women-only movement and feminine embodiment experience on the Gold Coast.
Katty shares her journey from strict competitive ballroom as a young girl in Russia, through pole and sensual movement, to one night alone in a dark room when her body refused to perform anymore. We talk about why “I can’t dance” keeps so many women out of their bodies, about movement as meditation, and about the shame and hesitation that so often live in the hips and pelvis.
We also explore sensuality without the mirror or the male gaze, how the body shows us where we take up space and where we hold back, and the simple question Katty closes every session with: body, how can I love you more?
